Hearing is what biology senior Kristyna Hnizda studied for her research capstone in Dr. David Ryugo’s laboratory at Johns Hopkins University. Kristyna worked to map the pathways between neurons in the rat brain that are activated upon stimulus with sound waves. The work will result in a tool that can be used in the field and give important insights into hearing and deafness.
