Sophmore biology majors Tiffany Thompson and Nidhi Ruparelia participated in a habitat restoration project as part of Learning Beyond: Ecology and Evolution. Nidhi and Tiffany and seven other students moved logs of a non-native tree in preparation for prescribed burns. Lots and lots of logs!

Students in Learning Beyond: Ecology and Evolution participate in a study of the effect of deer browsing on rare plants. The students installed exclosures over the plants to protect them from hungry deer! The size and seed production of these plants will be compared to unprotected plants nearby.
