Today in SCI 100 Science and Math Freshman Seminar, the freshmen students met with junior and senior biology and biotechnology students. The upperclassmen shared their experiences, study tips, and other “Been there, done that” advice. It’s always a favorite session of the seminar!
The freshmen also got to meet their mentors, since the upperclass students who came are also mentors in the Biology Freshman Mentor Program. This is the first year of the program, and we already have 23 mentors! Each mentor has 2 or 3 mentees, and they’ll get together informally over the year to share experiences, advice, and just get to know each other. At the end of the year, we’ll have a big party!
